Bertha Marie Whitaker

Bertha retired as an administrative assistant but continued to work various jobs for the next two decades. Throughout her life she was a devout Christian attending church everywhere she lived. She was an active volunteer with Meals on Wheels, the church daycare, and many more organizations.

Bertha is preceded in death by her parents William and Bessie (nee Richardson) Robison and was their last surviving child. In addition to her parents and siblings, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Whitaker.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Shirley Hobbs; Elaine Tinney (Erik); grandchildren, John Procasky; Donna Procasky ; Mike Procasky; Robin Webb; Daniel Hobbs; brother, Jim Robison; 14 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Services: A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home. The funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Darren McCormick officiating.

Bertha will be laid to rest at Mount Moriah Cemetery South, Kansas City, Missouri.
