Carol and I have been friends since 1981 when we worked together in New Orleans.  Even though many years we were many miles apart our friendship never faded.  Her mom lived just down the street from us so we got to see her on all her visits home.  My heart aches to have to say good bye so soon.  Rest in peace my dear friend.  I love you.

When you retired the company gave you a nice picture of our boats. Several coworkers and friend signed the back with best wishes. I didn't sign because as we talked I wasn't saying goodbye. I planned on still seeing you and Mike for a long time.
Today I have to say goodbye.... But as we celebrate your life I have peace knowing you made my life better. I have so many great memories of you.

Carol was my dear friend. We started out as co-workers but over the years our relationship grew to so much more. I now have a guardian angel looking out for me.  Carol, I will miss you always!! Rest In peace, I love you girl! !

I am Jack and Carol was my cousin and my wife Naomi, daughter Michelle have a lot of memories going to her parents house at Christmas. We didn't see each other  often as adults, but when we did, we just picked up as if no time had passed. She was a very out going person and a lot of fun. Carol, Linda and family were very loving people. She will be missed,  but we know she is in Heaven now. What a blessing this is.

Carol and I graduated from Eisenhower High School, worked together at St. Mary's Hospital and became very good friends.  Carol was godmother to my youngest daughter and very special to all of us.  After we both moved away from Decatur we always remained friends.  Didn't spend a lot of time together but Carol was that one special friend to me that you always knew was there and just a phone call away.  My family and I will miss her dearly.

My Aunt Carol was one of the most influential people in my life. Growing up, my sister and I would rotate from house to house when we visited WV every summer. I have sooo many happy memories of her painting my nails, feeding me Great Start breakfasts and Fritz his Frosty Paws, hiding from Frankie the cat (that thing was mean!), swimming at Spring Valley Golf Club and Dreamland, riding the log flume at Camden Park together, getting peanut butter milkshakes at Austin's, and walking to Ritter Park playground after visiting my Nana and Pappaw Jack. She loved and cared for my grandfather as he was dying and spent lots of time with my great-grandmother Ada Belle during her final years. Carol also had a very special relationship with my sister who was disabled. When Jenna passed away unexpectedly, Carol made the long trip home to attend the funeral because she knew we needed her support. I will never forget her Yankee accent or the sound of her laughter. She wasn't afraid to speak her mind and to stand up for what was right. She was fearless. She stared cancer in the face and fought on - challenge accepted. She knew she was dying but nevertheless, she persisted and she did it her way. She didn't doubt where she was going either. She is with the angels now and together at last with some of her favorite people. Carol left this world much too soon but we are all the lucky ones to have known her. No one will ever take her place. I know in my heart that I will see her again. Until then, may she rest forever in perfect peace.

Carol was my cousin and I have fond memories of going to her parents house and while our parents played pinochle, her sister Linda and we 4 cousins played outside or in the breezeway.  We didn't see each other very often as adults, but when we did, it was as if no time had passed. She was fun and funny too, we always had great talks on the phone. When I think of her, I can hear the sound of her voice, she will be greatly missed and heaven will be a little brighter.

Carol was my crew dispatcher back when she was crew dispatching. She was a really good person as far as I was concerned , never had any problems and she was always a joy to talk to . Carol Jarrell taught me how to crew towboats when i first started at ARTCO back in 2001.  Her patience and knowledge was a "godsend".

I soon learned what a warm and friendly person she was; and I considered a friend.

You left us too soon, Carol.  You will be missed.  God bless you, Mike, and all those you touched with your friendship.

Carol and I have known each other since the late 80's. She stood for me  when I married Kevin on October 20, 1980.  She was always a kind and caring spirit and a dear friend. As years past, she moved away, and we didn't get to see each other often. But when either of us called,  it felt like no time had passed.  Carol you will always be  in my heart. Love you!
