Dave was born July 28, 1957 in Belleville, IL to Virgil and Betty (Oberdorfer) Dumstorff. They preceded him in death.
He is survived by his siblings, Deborah “Deb” Classen of Belleville, IL and Steven Dumstorff of Waterloo, IL; niece, Nicole Baum of St. Louis, MO and nephew, Matthew Classen of Creve Coeur, MO; and great-niece, Clara Baum.
Dave proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was stationed throughout the United States and also in Germany for a period of time.
Dave worked as a truck driver and landscaper throughout his life. He knew the importance of hard work. His most cherished times were spent in Colorado on his 20-acre property, from where he could see beautiful Pikes Peak.
He was a proud owner of his vibrant blue Dodge Charger; a car he cherished and loved. Dave will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family has entrusted Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home in Belleville, IL with cremation rites.
