Elmo was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia, nee Dublar, Johnson; parents, Thomas and Grace, nee Griffin, Johnson; 5 brothers, Delorn, Billy Dean, Oral, Odell and Shirl; 2 sisters, Anne, and Delores; and a great grandchild, Robert Miller.

He is survived by his loving children, Diane (Perry) Wilson of Texas, Elmo Jay (Barbara) Johnson of Highland, Ill., Susann (Roger) Gramm of Mascoutah, Ill., and Billy (Donna) Johnson of Las Vegas, Nev.; grandchildren, Sarah (Jeff) Harding, Jennifer (Barry) Penseneau, Jenniba Johnson, Janet (Mike) Miller, Jill Shearer, Jeff (Tammy) Gramm, Billy Johnson, Jr., Bradley (Kaitlyn) Johnson, Kendra Ramirez-Johnson, MyKenzie Johnson; great grandchildren, Brody, Miah, Jason, James, Dale, Bradley Jr., Brayden, Tucker, Lillian; and siblings James, Loral, Wilma, and Galon.

Visitation: Friends may call on Friday, Feb. 12, 2016 from 4:00 till 8:00 pm at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, 3412 Frank Scott Parkway West, Belleville, IL 62223.

Funeral: Services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Hufty officiating.

Interment: Will be held in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.
