

Ethel enjoyed quilting and needlework, making countless quilts for wounded veterans returning home. She was an exceptional baker and was known for her banana bread. She was a loving mother and grandmother who doted over her first grandson. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur P. and Edna E., nee Stumpf, Mueller.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her sons, James (Erika) Vargas, of House Springs, Missouri and Arthur (Cathy) Vargas, of Spring Hill, Florida; her grandson, Benjamin Joseph Vargas; her brother, Virgil (Maria) Mueller, of Columbia, Illinois; a niece, Rosemary (Robert) Leingang; a nephew, Michael (Karina) Mueller; a cousin, Irene (Gary) Kalmer; her three dear friends, Georgia Campbell, Ime Lewis, and Pam Konopka; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral: Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 27, 2019 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois.
