

Frederick retired from Monsanto after 30 years retiring as a maintenance planner. He served in the United States Air Force during WW II.; his B17 was shot down over Germany and became a prisoner of war for 6 months. He was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, DAV- Disabled American Veterans, V.F.W. – Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a member of the Gothic Lodge #852, AF &AM Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Southern Illinois, Ainad Shrine.
Frederick was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra Lee,nee Adams, Black; parents, William K. and Freda C., nee Smith, Adams; one brother and three sisters.
Surviving are his loving wife Gladys R., nee Kammler, Adams; son, Frederick R. ( Pamela J. ) Adams, Jr.; three grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 27, 2012 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 27, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home with Pastor Herb Schafale officiating.
