Gary Lee Nast

Gary Lee Nast, 64, of Valmeyer, Illinois, born October 28, 1946, in Belleville, Illinois, Passed away on Monday, December 27, 2010 at his Residence with his loving wife by his side. Gary was a Loving husband and devoted father and grandfather. Member of the St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Columbia, Illinois. Member of the DeMolay, Black Knights Bugle Drum Core, Worked for 37 years at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Illinois. Past Member of the American Legion Post 58 Freedom Farms, Freeburg, Illinois.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Peter Carl and Bernice , nee Bracke, Nast; Brother, Dennis Nast, Surviving are his loving wife Violette, nee Kroesen, Nast; son, Richard Lee (Tiffany) Nast of Millbrook, Alabama and a daughter, Heather Nicole Nast of Bloomington, Illinois; grandchildren, Tyler Lee Scott Nast, Kyle Matthew Nast and Riley Cole Nast; Sister, Beryl (Edward) Shoemaker of East Alton, Illinois. Also, survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, sister and brother in laws and many other relatives family and friends.

Visitation; friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois and again on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Columbia, Illinois.

Funeral Service; Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 11:30 AM at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 127 St. Paul Street, Columbia, Illinois with Pastor Kris Avise-Rouse officiating.

Interment. Burial will be held following services at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri
