Mr. Wiechert was a 25 year veteran of the Memphis Police Department. He also was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Dorothy, nee Knighton, Wiechert, and an infant daughter, Lisa Wiechert
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Weichert, of Smithton, Illinois; his two daughter, Julie Wallace and Sarah Wiechert; two sons, Kelly and Shelby Wiechert; a step-daughter, Debra Kruep, and two step-sons, Russell and Steven Hoernis; his 6 grandchild; 8 step-grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and one step- great grandchild.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at Memphis Funeral Home, in Memphis, Tennessee.
