Jerry Roland Funk

Jerry was a member of the VFW in Fairview Heights, Illinois; he was a retired steel worker with Granite City Steel.

Jerry loved to farm the land

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Anita, nee Swartz, Funk; siblings, Marvin (Jane) Funk, Donald Funk and Dennis Funk; daughter in law, Sue Funk.

Surviving are his loving wife of 58 years who he married on the Base in Germany on August 7, 1954, Lisa, nee Trebuth, Funk; children, Larry Funk, Lenny Funk and Jeanette (Carl) Heil; grandchildren, Cory, Jennifer, Christopher and Jesse; great grand daughter, Savanna, and a sister in law, Marrian Funk. Also, survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2012 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 22, 2012 at 11:00 am with Rev. Dr. Bill Pierce of Peace Lutheran Church officiating.

Interment will follow in the Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois
