

Joan was a stay at home mother and grandmother. Her family was of paramount importance to her. She was very involved with the PTA and enjoyed bowling with members of the Mothers Club. In her younger years she enjoyed traveling to visit family. Joan was an incredibly loving and selfless woman; she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Stanley E. Veath; her parents, one brother and six sisters.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Vickie (Richard) Beisiegel of Freeburg, IL, Michael (Deborah) Veath of Belleville, IL, and Kevin (Vicki) Veath of Belleville, IL; sister Janet Smith; grandchildren Lawrence (Deanna) Schmidt, Breanne Beisiegel, Nathan Beisiegel, Tiffany Veath, Ryan (Cheryn) Veath, Robert (Courtney) Teutrine, Michael (Kathy) Teutrine, and Candid (Michael) Barfield; great-grandchildren Natalie Schmidt, Nohlan Coffey, Noeh Schmidt, Norrah Schmidt, Russell Morris, Everett Veath, Elvera Veath, Brittany (John) Villa, Courtney (Tannor) Agler, McKenzie (Austin) Sutherland, Johnathan Whittaker, Aaron and Allison Teutrine, and Shelby Teutrine; great-great-grandchildren Jayce, Skylar and Elena Villa, Teagann and Tucker Agler, and Claire Sutherland; sister-in-law Arlene Keller; brothers-in-law Roger Veath and Richard Koderhandt.
A public visitation will take place at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home on Friday, August 6, 2021 from 2 – 6 PM. Rites of cremation will take place, followed by a graveside service at Valhalla Gardens of Memory on Monday, August 16, 2021 at 10 AM.
