Joy was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her in-laws, Don Sr. and Margaret Ann Farley.
Joy worked at Don’s Hardware for over a decade and later at Dandell Property Management, where she remained until stepping away last year due to health concerns. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—birdwatching, gardening, and spending time in nature, where her green thumb was evident. She adored her pets and loved reading, especially novels by Nora Roberts. Above all, Joy expressed her love through cooking, bringing family and friends together around her table.
Memorial donations may be made to the Belleville Area Humane Society.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, Illinois.
