Joyce was born September 6, 1936 in Belleville, IL to Webster F. and Ethel E. (Schaefer) Severit. They preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Terry Severit.
Joyce is survived by her loving daughters, Lisa Weyenberg of Belleville, IL, Nicole (Craig) Cobb of Greeley, CO and Stephanie (Corey) Reilmann of Swansea, IL; grandchildren, Elicia Cobb and Jordan Cobb; and her great-granddaughter, Ivy Nicole.
Joyce worked as a file clerk for many years throughout the area, including in Belleville, St. Louis, and Fairview Heights.
She had a deep love for animals. She took in and cared for many pets throughout her life, giving them a loving home.
Joyce loved her soap operas and watching old television shows. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Valhalla Gardens of Memory Mausoleum. Final interment will be in the mausoleum following services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Joyce’s name can be given to the Belleville Humane Society.
