Lynné J. Walter

Lynné was born July 21, 1939 in Belleville, IL to Edwin R. and Grace M. (Deuker) Staub. They preceded her in death.

Lynné worked as an administrative assistant for many years with Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home/Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, IL and Lake View Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, IL. Years ago, she was employed by the St. Clair County Police Department and several other organizations throughout the Belleville area.

Lynné enjoyed working, it brought years of great friendships, wonderful stories to share and memories that were made.

She also loved to shop- for anything and everything! She loved all animals dearly and rescued countless animals throughout her life. They were more than pets to her, they were family.

Lynné’s vibrant spirit, sense of humor and bright smile will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home in Belleville, IL. A visitation will be held prior to the service, from 11:00 A.M.- 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Pastor Ron Habermehl will officiate. Final interment will be at Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, IL.

Memorial donations in Lynné’s name may be made to the Belleville Humane Society or VITAS Hospice.
