Mary Elizabeth Kreher Schmierbach

Mary loved her family and friends and enjoyed bingo, her rose bushes and her tomatoes plants. She was an avid sports fan, especially college basketball, the Cardinals, Cubs and the Rams. She raised and sold the Pekingese breed.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, George Jacob and Emma Mae, nee Jones, Kreher.

Surviving are her husband , Clarence Schmierbach who she married on October 12, 1948; children, John Schmierbach of Belleville, Illinois and Joan Plank of Waterloo, Illinois; grandchildren, Michelle Plank of Waterloo, Illinois, Robert (Irene) Plank of Bartlett, Illinois and Shaun Schmierbach of Belleville, Illinois; great - grand children, Brianna Schmierbach and Christopher Plank; brother, George Kreher, Jr.

Visitation: Friends may call on Monday, January 14, 2013 from 4 – 8 p.m. at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois.

Funeral: Services will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 11 am at the funeral home with Rev. Charles West officiating.

Interment will be held in the Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Illinois
