Patricia "Patty" Marie Deans

Patty attended East St. Louis High School, class of 1955. She worked as a hostess in the Stallion Room at Fairmount Park in Collinsville, IL; she owned and operated two restaurants in Belleville, IL and was a much loved server at Andria’s Steakhouse in Fairview Heights, IL for 34 years. Patricia was an excellent cook and will always be remembered for hosting holiday parties and summer BBQ’s. She was the proud mother of two sons and treasured spending time with her family. Patty was also an avid sports fan, animal lover and wine aficionado. Her generosity and kindness will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James “Dizzy” W. Deans, Sr. and Marie T. (nee Sertiff) Deans; infant brother, James W. Deans, Jr.; aunts, Martha L. Deans and Doris (Howard) Ogden and great aunts, Mae and Tina Sertiff.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her sons, Craig D. (Gail) Jackson of Collinsville, IL and James “Jim” B. Jackson of West Virginia; first cousin, Susie (Michael) Heideman of Fairview Heights, IL; second cousins, Kristen Heideman of Atlanta, GA and Michael Heideman of Fairview Heights, IL; step-grandchildren, Keith (Amanda) Hanke of Pontoon Beach, IL, Kevin (Jackie) Hanke of Troy, IL and Kerry (Donna) Hanke of Glen Carbon, IL; plus 15 step-great-grandchildren and countless friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or to the Warren Billhartz Collinsville Animal Shelter.

Per Patty’s wishes, she will be cremated then laid to rest at Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, IL.
