Phillip A. Schack, Jr., 51, of Smithton, IL passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2019. He is preceded in death by his father, Phillip Schack, Sr. and his aunts, Donna Zink and Sandy Canterbury. He is survived by his mother, Patricia Brubaker; son, Phillip Schack III; sister, Amy (Brian) Marchand; niece, MacKenzie Marchand; step mother, Barbara Schack; and step brother, Steven (Michelle) Touchette; and step niece, Ashlynne.
Phillip loved to fish and was a talented sketch artist. He owned many fish tanks and was an animal lover. When he was a child, he had hamsters, turtles and other various reptiles, and even had quite the bug collection! Prior to being afflicted with a neurological disorder, Phillip led a very active life and worked as a floor installer. He was a sweet guy with many friends and really loved his family. Some people get many decades in this life to make their mark, but Phillip packed all of his into just 51 years. He will be missed.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2019 from 4-8 p.m. at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, 3412 Frank Scott Pkwy W, Belleville, IL and funeral service on Friday, December 27 at 1 p.m. Interment at Valhalla Gardens of Memory.
