Richard was an over the road truck driver for many years before working in the sales for Lubricating Engineers and Brown & Bieglow, most recently he worked as a courier in the St. Louis Metro Area.
He was preceeded in death by his parents, Walter A. Hudson and Mildred B. Hudson (Bland), sister Gail M. Hudson, brother Walter Hudson, Jr. and grandson Brian L. Barber.
Surviving are his wife, Clarice Hudson, nee Kimbrel, whom he married on May 6, 1943 in St. Louis, Mo.; two children, Myra (Keith) H. McMullen of O’Fallon, Ill., and Richard (Jacqueline) of Belleville, Ill.; 5 grandchildren, Christopher Barber, Steven Lauer, Angie Jeremias, Jenny Hensler, and Mary Sherrin; 14 great grandchildren and numerous cousins, friends and acquaintances.
