Stephen "Boo" L. Barnett

Stephen was employed by Memorial Hospital as a recovery room clerk for 17 years. He was a driver for First Student Bus Company for 5 years and then worked at Denny’s as a server and manager. Stephen loved his family and his fur babies and will be deeply missed.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Jean, nee Harlan, Barnett; his step-mother, Barbara “Bobbie” Barnett; his mother-in-law, Roberta Wells; and his step-father-in-law, Cornelius Wells.

Surviving to cherish his memory is his wife of 33 years, Deborah, nee Dobbs, Barnett; his father, Richard L. Barnett; his son, Jeffrey Barnett; his step-children, Jesse Ebmeyer, Sonia Ebmeyer and Dwayne (Audrey) Ebmeyer, Sr.; his grandchildren, Brandon Ebmeyer, Justin Ebmeyer, Dane Lynch, Dwayne Ebmeyer Jr., Kelsey Hauser, and Chelsea Hauser; three great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Carolyn (Dobbs) Green, one brother, Richard (Malinda) Barnett; one sister, Angela (Fernando) Gomez; his best friend, Dean (Mickey) Weilbacher; his fur babies, Misty, Mr. McGoo, Baby, Pepper, Colby and Shadow; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois.
