Stephen Herbert

Mr. Herbert was a retired furniture salesman. He liked looking at all cars and loved the Indianapolis 500. He was a proud United States Navy Veteran serving in two wars. He loved his grandchildren.

Mr. Herbert was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dolores, nee Naumann, Herbert; his parents, Stephen and Jessie, nee Brown, Herbert; his brothers, Russell Herbert, Hugh Herbert, and Harold Herbert; sisters, Leona Depper, Mildred Rodenmayer and Jessie Henry.

Surviving are his loving and devoted children, Debbie (Terry) Woolsey, Donna (Steve) Wrubel, Stephen “Buddy” Herbert, Diane (David) Eidman, Darla (Tom) Harres, Denise Russell, Scott Herbert and Dawn (Mark) Patterson; grandchildren, Nichole (Ryan) Mueller, Ryan (Angel) Juen, Brendan Wrubel, Joshua (Kelly) Burden, Kali (Jeremy) Clement, Jordan Eidman, Colleen (Aaron) Day, Alex (Brittany) Harres, Allison Harres and Alyssa Sonsoucie; great grandchildren, Jake, Kailey, Tristan, Mira, Grayson, Emerson, Amelia, Violet, Bryer, Brinley, Logan, Jack, Ely and Reese. Mr. Herbert is also survived by other relative’s, family, and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 10am to 12 pm on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home.

Funeral: Funeral Services will be held at 12pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow with military honors, at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, Illinois.
