Dale was the best father-in-law.  Once he told me I reminded him of his Mother because he thought I was a spitfire, like her.  I always smile when I think of that.  I will miss his soft voice, kind heart and gentle spirit

The word that comes to my mind when I think of my Dad is integrity. Dad lived by a higher moral standard than most. He really set the bar high as an example of how to live your life with intergrity and honesty. Family was so important to him and I believe he valued it even more because of growing up as an only child. He taught me by his example, the importance of respect, generosity and kindness. It's difficult to put into words the impact my Father had on me throughout my life. I will strive to follow his example as both an individual and a parent. Thank you Dad for the valuable legacy you left me with.

My family and I will always remember Uncle Dale and Aunt Wanda's kindness in sharing their home with me, prior to us all moving to Washington from Maryland. It was truly appreciated.

Dale was the project manager on one of my most satisfying projects, the Junction City Fire Pump Station. He managed the client and let me incorporate some innovations that were unique at the time. I also worked with Dale on numerous projects and remember it as a real pleasure to work for  him as a project manager. And you will never find a nicer gentleman.

I too knew Dale from working at CH2M HILL. You see that Dale was a long time employee and many who remember him are as well. I am in my 36th year. Mike and Dick both longer than that. It is because of people like Dale that we found a long time home at CH2M HILL. I can echo all the other thoughts about Dale, a real level headed engineer who was easy to work for. I was fortunate to work with Dale early in my career.

Dale was my first boss at CH2M (no Hill in those days).  I was a green new B.S. graduate from across the tracks at OSU, and Dale and George Dotson showed me the practical side of structural engineering as a career.  I only worked with him for two summers, but always thought of him fondly.  I'm sorry to hear of his passing, but it sounds as if he had a long and rewarding life.  I know CH2M HILL is the great company it is today because of the direction he and his contemporaries gave it.

I remember Dale as a calm influence.  When faced with challenges and difficulties, Dale was a stong anchor who I could seek against the seemly torent around me!  His smile and calm demeanor was always a welcome sight.  He will be missed by all who knew him.  Rest in God, good boss!

Dale was a great boss and mentor for me for at least 10 years of my career. He always had a cool head and wise counsel when times got tough.  He was a great guy always with a smile on his face.  I have thought about him often over the years since he retired and asked myself, what would Dale do in this sitation.  I will remember him fondly.  Mike Doleac
