We lost the rock of our existence on March 20, 2013, our father David H. Knight. David was born in and spent his early years in Idaho. He graduated from West Valley High School in Spokane. David served in WWII as a cryptographer where he received the American Service medal and WWII Victory medal. In 1943 he was boxing champ 135 lbs. division. He graduated from Washington State University in 1947 with a BA degree in Electrical Engineering and started working for Puget Sound Power and Light. After 40 years of a distinguished career, he retired in 1987 as Vice President of Operations. David married the love of his life, Allene, in 1949. After retiring, he and Allene traveled until her passing in August 2011 after 62 years of marriage. David is survived by their three children: Gregory (Tae), Karolyn and Jennifer, three grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He will be truly missed. At his request, there will be no services.
