

David Joe PETERSON: Born September 11, 1942 in Brainerd, MN. Dave passed away peacefully on December 2, 2011 surrounded by his family. He grew up in Kalispell, MT, where he graduated from Flathead County High School. Dave joined the US Army in 1960. He earned several medals and commendations while serving in Vietnam, Okinawa, and Thailand. He graduated with a degree in Bio-Med Engineering from Colorado Electronic Technical College in 1971.
After being honorably discharged from the Army in 1972, Dave and his wife Marilyn moved to Bellevue, WA. He worked as a bio-med engineer for Picker International and Tyco in the medical imaging field. He enjoyed coaching little league in Bellevue for four years as well as CYO baseball at St. Louise Catholic School for four years.
Dave and his wife were active supporters of MADD, JDRF, the VFW, and Overlake Hospital Medical Center. They believed strongly in Catholic school education sending their children to St. Louise, Eastside Catholic High School, and Gonzaga University. Dave’s first priority in life was spending quality time with his family, including trips to Hawaii, Europe, Mariner’s Spring Training in AZ and Cannon Beach, OR.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Marilyn, his daughter Mary Actor, son-in-law Ryan Actor, brother Donald Peterson, sister Karla (John) Nelson, many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in-law, and close friends. Dave was preceded in death by his son Mark Peterson and his parents Carl and Lois Peterson.

A celebration of Dave’s life will be held December 7, 2011 at 11:00am at St. Louise Catholic Church, Bellevue, WA. Interment at Sunset Hills Memorial Park, Bellevue, WA.
