Deone Ruth Knudsen

Deone Knudsen, 86 passed away peacefully from a long illness on January 29, 2018 at the home of her son and daughter in-law, Christian & Kimberly Knudsen, Lacey, WA. Deone was born to the late Jesse & Dora Robison in Idaho Falls, ID on November 18, 1931. She graduated from Los Angeles High School and married the late Allen “Sy” Knudsen in 1951 where they resided in Salt Lake City, UT until they moved to Bellevue, WA in 1965. Deone moved from Bellevue, WA into the home of her eldest son Christian Knudsen in Lacey, WA in 2016 until her death. Deone is survived by her two sons: Christian Knudsen, Lacey, WA and Peter Knudsen, Redmond, WA as well as her four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Robbie Robison and her sister Donna Reynolds. Deone lived a happy and fulfilling life raising her family and enjoying the company of many friends. Deone was active in the League of Women Voters, East Shore Unitarian Church and held administrative positions at Bellevue Community College, ENI Companies and Eastside Mental Health. Placement of Deone’s ashes will be held Friday, February 16, 2018 at 2:30 PM at Sunset Hills Funeral Home, 1215 145TH Place SE, Bellevue WA 98007. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at Peter Knudsen’s residence, Redmond, WA on February 17, 2018 at 3:00 PM.
