A proud graduate of Bellarmine Preparatory School in Tacoma, Class of 1987, Gayle carried the values of compassion and dedication with her into every chapter of her life. She was a devoted mother to her three sons—Jack, Sam, and Ben Corazin—who were the center of her world.
Gayle was known as the heart of her family. She had a remarkable gift for caregiving and made it her mission to ensure that everyone felt loved and supported. Whether organizing family gatherings or simply lending a listening ear, she brought people together with grace and enthusiasm. Her passion for planning family events was matched only by the joy she found in decorating her home—each detail carefully chosen to reflect beauty and warmth.
Her signature lemon drop martinis were a staple at many celebrations, served with laughter and shared stories. Gayle’s presence lit up every room she entered; she had an innate ability to make others feel at ease and cherished.
She is lovingly remembered by her sons Jack, Sam, and Ben; her siblings Richard Thorsen, Darlene Thorsen, Mary Tiberio, Jane Ferderer, Karen Krader, and John Thorsen; and all those whose lives she touched with kindness and care. She now joins her beloved parents, John and Helen Thorsen and her cherished companion Charlie Brown.
May Gayle’s memory bring comfort to those who knew her and continue to inspire love and connection among all who carry her spirit forward. A Memorial Service will be held on December 11, 2025, beginning with a private viewing for immediate family at 10:00AM followed by a viewing where all are welcome from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Sunset Hills Memorial Park and Funeral Home 1574 145th Place SE, Bellevue, WA 98007.
