

Gordon B. Davis passed away peacefully on April 21, 2012. Born on March 12, 1929 in Hoquiam, Washington, Gordon was raised in Yakima and graduated from Highland High School. Following graduation from Washington State College in 1952, Gordon enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. on October 28, 1952. He served three years in the Marine Corp., attending Navy and Marine electronic repair school and serving overseas with the Third Marine Division in Camp Fuji, Japan. He was honorably discharged on October 28, 1955. Gordon was hired as a Field Representative by Philip Morris Inc. on January 30, 1956 and worked for Philip Morris for 33 years before retiring on May 1, 1989 as Area Manager of Chain Accounts. Gordon married his wife of fifty years, Norma, on June 23, 1958. They built a home together in Bellevue in September of 1973. Gordon and Norma traveled across the United States and Canada, primarily by car. They took numerous vacations to Las Vegas where they enjoyed the entertainment and gourmet food. Gordon's wife, Norma, passed away on May 1, 2009.
Gordon was a craftsman, building much of his own furniture. He and Norma took great pride in maintaining their home and yard. Gordon enjoyed following sports and politics. He was politically conservative. Gordon enjoyed meeting people, could recall dates and details with his sharp mind, and believed in the value of speaking the truth. Gordon's wit and humor will be missed.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Sunset Hills Funeral Home, 1215 145th Place SE, Bellevue, WA 98007. Visitation will take place on the day of the funeral, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment, with military honors, will follow the service at the Abbey Rose Mausoleum on the grounds of Sunset Hills Memorial Park in Bellevue, Washington.
