Jackie had many friends and very much enjoyed spending time with her family. She had a great sense of humor, a sweet spirit and a quick wit. She loved to read, was quite passionate about politics and frequently hosted friends and family at her home.
Growing up, Jackie worked at a flower shop in the Pike Place Market, which cultivated her lifelong love of flowers. Moving to the Eastside to start a family, Jackie is survived by her six daughters, Karen, Shelley, Cathy, Denise, Liza, and Maria. She also was blessed with many grandchildren and great grandchildren who brought her much joy. Jackie is also survived by her loving husband of over 50 years, Ben.
Jackie was a life-long member of the Washington Athletic Club, the Bellevue Athletic Club, was a Member and officer of the Women's Pro America Club, the Eastside Women's Republican Club and the Eastside Republican Club.
A convert to the Roman Catholic faith during her high school years, it remained an important part of her life. Jackie had a tender devotion to Our Blessed Lady and daily said her rosary. She faithfully endeavored to instill in her daughters three important virtues: a lively faith; a firm hope; and ardent charity towards all, especially the less fortunate among us. The treasure of her boundless faith in Our Lord is a lasting legacy that will greatly sustain her family through their great sorrow in losing her. Although sorely missed by her family, she now rests in peace and we ask that you all keep her in your prayers.
