My brother Jim watched out for me throughout his life.  Always smarter, always wiser, he was always there to help me...advise me...and, eventually, save my life while losing his.  We were supposed to grow old together...go out in the boat at Lake Cushman, troll for fish, drink beer and tell stories...lots of stories...about the good times.  I miss him every day, but know he still watches out for me.  --  Tom

With sincere sympathy to the family. I will be thinking and praying for you at this difficult time.  I remember Jim as a part of my childhood has he was a great friend to my brother Jim Lee.

My deepest sympathies to the Martineau family on the passing of Jim.  I first met him when we were both in Texas for Army medic training. Jim's offering of friendship and camaraderie to a stranger was amazing.

Jim's light shone strong and steadily, and he shared generously. I knew him as a teen and didn't conceive of him passing so young. My condolences to Jim's beloved family and loved ones. Of this loss, it is hard to speak.

The ELDEC Alumni Association would like to offer our sincere condolences to the family of Jim Martineau.  We will miss Jim's smile.  He is in our thoughts and prayers.

Jim has been a friend since we met at Seattle Prep in 1963. We've always enjoyed the company of our classmates but Jim took friendship to another level when he instituted, invited, monitored and welcomed all '67 grads to his once a year gathering at the Pyramid Alehouse on December 26th. 
Jim figured many of his far flung mates would be drawn back to northwest roots during Christmas time and we had a revolving hard core band of brothers which Jim took care to toast each of us. I thought we'd see him and our pals for decades but we'll certainly memorialize him every December.

Dearest Kathy, Mathew, Anne, Jared and Grandchildren , 
   Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with each of you. Jim was a good and honorable man who dearly loved his family,his friends and his Lord, in whom he put his trust. He had the faith of our Fathers. 
   The day will come when you think of him without tears , and I pray you find happiness in the precious memories of your Husband, Father and Grandpa. It is heartbreaking to lose a brother that you have looked up to your entire life.  It is comforting to know I will see him again every time I see Jim's beautiful family.
