Jerome Matthew (Matt) Friederichs was born in Chilton, Wisconsin the sixth child of eight. He was a WWII veteran who proudly served in Europe as part of the 3rd Army - 65th Division. Matt attended the University of Wisconsin then graduated from Marquette University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Matt Married Helen Claire Zink on April 18th, 1953 in Springfield Illinois. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in the spring of 2013. Matt worked from a very early age to help support his family then finally retired after over 30 years at the Traveler’s Insurance Company as a safety engineer. Matt was an avid Green Bay Packer Backer and a devout Catholic. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus for over 50 years.
Matt passed away at his home in Bellevue, Washington, and is survived by his wife, Helen, his sister Romilda and his children Gerianne, John, Patrick and Carol. He enjoyed the company of his grandchildren Jason, Ben, Steven, Megan and Colin as well as his great-grandchildren Jack, Adam and Julian.
We will miss him every day.
