John was born and raised in Yakima, Washington. He graduated from the University of Washington (in Chemical Engineering) and served in the US Navy 4 years as LT, a veteran of WW II. John was employed by Reichhold Chemical as Vice President and General Manager of the NW Division. He was a long time member of Meydenbauer Bay Yacht Club and Woodhaven Country Club in Palm Desert CA.
John is survived by his wife, Margarett (Mickey); children: Karen Lemieux, Sharon Armstrong (John), Kristine Lemieux, Vernon Smith (Dani), and Catherine Carlson (Steve), and by grandchildren, Matthew, Aimee, Ashley, Annie, Ali, Katie, Carter, Terynia, Llysa, and great grandchildren: Joshua, and Ellison. He is also survived by sisters, Mrs. Maxwell Carter, (Mary), Mrs. John Doherty, (Lois), and Mrs. Bayard Descamp, (Jean) deceased.
John and Mickey were residents of Medina before moving to Port Ludlow where they resided, spending half their time in Palm Desert. His interests included boating, golfing, and gardening. He was a devout Catholic. The remaining years of his life he and his wife Mickey resided at Timber Ridge in Issaquah, Washington. Everyone that knew him truly loved him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Joseph Catholic Church in Issaquah on Monday, April 26 at
