

Nora Eileen Ledbetter passed peacefully at home April 14, 2014. Born Nora Eileen Sullivan April 15, 1929 in Bellingham, WA to Jeremiah James and Alice May Sullivan. Nora attended Lewis & Clark High School in Spokane and WSC in Pullman. She was married June 3, 1959 to Chesley Richard Ledbetter of Seattle, WA. She worked as a legal secretary in Seattle for over 35 years, and has resided with her husband in the home they built on lower Cougar Mountain since 1967.
Nora loved to travel, gardening, crosswords, books, animals, bird watching and most of all, her cherished family and many wonderful friends in the community. Her adventuresome nature, wry wit and unconditional love will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 55 years, Chesley, 78; daughter Lisa Taggart and granddaughter Jillian Quigley of Burien; son Patrick Ledbetter and daughter Cara Velez of Seattle, and son Walter Sullivan of Government Camp, OR.
A celebration of her life will be held at St. Madeline Sophie Parish, 4400 130th Pl. SE in Bellevue, WA on Thursday, April 24, at 11:00 am. Reception to follow. No flowers please, instead remembrances in her name may be made to the ASCPCA or the Humane Society of King County.
