

She will be most remembered for her remarkable inner strength, enduring faith, dedication to her family, and fun-loving zest for life.
She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Alice and Wesley Waldman, and her brother Jim Williams. Sandy was deeply loved by her family, and is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Steve Browning; her daughter and son-in-law, Merry and Brian Wetherell; her grandson, Christopher Ward and his partner Kelsi Reason and son Ayden; her granddaughter, Carly Ward and her fiancé Brad Massey and son Luke; her nephew, Kevin Browning; her niece, Lauren Fosberry and her husband Brendan and sons Cormac, Ronan, and Beckett; and her cherished companion, Maxie, her Pomeranian.
Sandy was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on November 30, 1939. She was a true Texan and spent most of her life in San Antonio and Austin. Sandy loved working with people, and excelled in her lifelong career in human resources. This included over 20 years of service as a valued manager at Austin State Hospital where she was recognized for outstanding contributions to patients and staff.
Sandy and Maxie moved to Fall City, Washington to live with her sister in August 2022. With Linda’s family, they shared many happy times and memories over the past 14 months. Sandy was a beautiful person inside and out. Her sense of humor could brighten any day. She cared deeply for the people around her and made an impact on many lives. We will forever miss our beautiful Sandy.
The family wishes to thank Providence Hospice of Seattle for the care they provided to Sandy during her illness. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
