

Sharon was born on August 25, 1944 in Bessemer, AL to Earl and Annie Pearl (Moore) Martin, where she spent her childhood years. After graduation from Wenonah High School, Birmingham, AL, in 1962 she attended Knoxville College. In 1969 she joined her sister and family in Olympia, WA where she attended Evergreen State College earning her B.A. degree in 1972.
She worked as a library technician at the Washington State Library, an office manager for a small office supply company, and spent the majority of her working years as a sales representative for Trick and Murray, Corporate Express Staples, Inc. where she retired in 2008.
Sharon was a voracious reader and truly enjoyed watching many sports. Baseball, basketball, football, and tennis were her favorites and sometimes she even got the chance to watch her favorite teams live.
Sharon is survived by her sister Mary Ann Chatman of Bellevue, WA, brothers Earl (Betty) Martin and Aaron (Virginia) Martin of Nashville, TN, and a host of family and friends all over the country.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, July 13, 2014, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at VFW Post 2995 4330 148th Ave NE, Redmond, WA 98052 (across from the fire station).
