Elviria Arebalo, 91, of Downey California took her final breath on September 26, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones, in the early morning, where the clouds lifted and her recently deceased husband, John Arebalo, ushered her to heaven.
The sun rose on February 12, 1932 in Powell, Wyoming, a day the world became a little brighter. Elviria grew up with her parents and siblings, traveling through the Dakotas and into Idaho, where she then moved to Southern California at the age of 11 starting in Artesia, California and then to Clearwater, California where she went to school and met the love of her life, John Arebalo of whom she married in 1949; starting a family right away and purchasing their first home in Downey, California.
After working in various factories, Elviria worked at Robert Shaw Controls for the entirety of her career as a line worker, where she became an important and reliable fixture in her community; loved by her many friends and colleagues throughout the years.
Elviria was a woman of many talents. She was inquisitive, kind, exceptionally organized, and was always willing to learn and try new things. She loved to cook and bake; crochet and sew beautiful curtains, blankets and clothes. Elviria loved to bowl and dance, was a proud and devout Catholic, dedicated to her parish St. Dominic Savio in Bellflower, California. She enjoyed retirement to the fullest with her husband, travelling to many parts of the world, bringing back countless memories, stories and pictures; however, Elviria’s greatest joy in life was to watch, and take part, of her growing family alongside with her husband.
Compassionate, witty, and refined, Elviria was, and will forever be, a woman that made a lasting impact on this Earth with her grace and integrity. Her legacy will continue to live on through her family, and she will undoubtedly be missed every day. Our family is grateful to know that she is at peace, and once again reunited with her loving husband.
Elviria was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Arebalo; son: Johnny Arebalo, parents and siblings.
She is survived by her children: Joanne Arebalo Santoyo and Ruben Arebalo; grandchildren: Tina Kracker, Alisha Sandoval, Alenna Felix, Arthur Felix, Jason Arebalo, Brian Arebalo; great-grandchildren: Adrian Sandoval, Savannah Sandoval, Mateo Sandoval, Ava Sandoval, Dakota Rettig, Sawyer Rettig, Skyler Felix, Justin Kracker, Elizabeth Kloeppel, Alexander Kracker; great-great grandchildren: Andreas Godette, Gabriel Godette, Gabriella Sandoval, Alani Sandoval, Nolan Kloeppel, Gwen Kloeppel, Harlan Kloeppel, Charlie Kracker, Benji Kracker, and Sedona Arebalo; sisters: Cordelia Romero, Mary Trujillo and Estella Cruz
