

Larry Michael Blue Sr. was born on January 19th, 1953 to the union of Ernest and Carrie Blue in Los Angeles, California. Larry attended Vernon City Elementary School, Carver Jr. High and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. As a child he attended Israel Missionary Baptist Church where he was baptized at an early age, not knowing what God was preparing for him later in life. He was presently a member of Chapel of Change Christian Fellowship. In 1972 Larry M Blue Jr. was born to Larry Blue and Irene Rojas. Later Larry would wed Diane Castro and from that union they had three sons, Ernest, Jeffrey and Anthony. Larry loved sports. In high school he played football. He passed on his love of sports to his sons, nephews and kids in the neighborhood. Larry was a lover of music. He loved him some Temptations and other oldies as well. He knew all the songs very well. He was a lover of Christian music. For many years Larry worked for Diamond Perforated Metals in Gardena, Ca. He was currently employed by the Lynwood School District. Later in life Larry became a true soldier for Christ. He was known as the “Preacher Man of Lynwood”. A teacher of man. Larry never missed an opportunity to spread the gospel of Christ. Larry was a soul winner! God gave Larry the gift of preaching and preaching he did very well. He would always pray with you and tell you that he loved you. In 2009 God sent Larry an angel named Stephanie Tyler. God knew that the road ahead was not going to be easy for Larry. Stephanie became Larry’s friend and eventually his helpmate. She was by his side through not only the good times but also through his struggles. The smile on her face showed how much she loved him and Larry surely loved Stephanie as well. Larry was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all he crossed paths with in his lifetime. He was a mentor and coach, a man after God’s own heart. On October 7th, 2014 the Lord called Larry home. The Lord softly whispered to Larry “Good job my Faithful servant. Your job on earth is done here. Now it’s time to come home and be with the Lord."
Larry was preceded in death by parents, Ernest and Carrie Blue, brothers Malachi, Ernest Jr. and Calvin. To cherish his memory he leaves sons Larry Jr (Anna), Ernest, Jeffrey (Dominique) and Anthony (Claudia) Grandchildren, Nathan, Tyrese, Noah, Tashira, Michael, Shante, Brandee, Calvian, Kristina, Kaylee, Karina, Jaime and William (Babalu) Brothers: Anderson, Kenneth, Melvin Sr., Ronnie, Raymond and Richard. Sisters: Shirley, Carolyn, Ernestine, Carrie and a host of Nephews, Nieces, Family and Friends.
