Rory Desell Antoine

August 16, 1960 - August 24, 2021

He fought a good fight. He finished his course. He has kept the faith.

Henceforth, there is laid up for him a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge has given him.

Rory departed this life August 24, 2021.

He was born to the union of Murphy Antoine Sr. and Alverna Moore Antoine.

He was baptized at Second Good Hope Baptist Church by the late Rev. Webster Carol Sr.

Rory attended elementary school Peter Simone Lawton. While there he met Harold Avist and Errol Williams who became his best friends. Friends for life.

Rory graduated from O. Perry Walker Sr. High School "Class of 1978" and went on to continue his education at Nicholls State University in Thibeaux, LA.

After leaving Nicholl State, Rory relocated to Anaheim, CA to live with his oldest sister Drevlynn Antoine and his late brother-in-law, Emile Rose.

Soon after moving to California, Rory became the proud father of a beautiful baby girl, Katrina Antoine.

No father could have loved their daughter as much as Rory loved Katrina. He was very proud of his daughter, always talking about her and sending her runway photos to the family. his beautiful baby girl blossomed into a gracious women.

Rory soon was blessed with another gift, Ms. Marisol Nieves. Marisol became the love of his life, his soulmate. Rory and Marisol were blessed to have a love that is eternal. A love that intertwines spirit, soul, and time.

Rory was proceeded in death by his father Murphy Antoine Sr., his mother Alverna M. Antoine, his father-in-law Robert Santos, and his nephew Terrance Antoine.

Left to mourn his passing are his wife, soulmate, life partner, Marisol Nieves, his daughter Katrina Antoine, his siblings, Drevlynn Antoine, Murphy Antoine Jr. (Joyce), Sidney Antoine Coleman, Anita Corley (Jimmy), his nieces and nephews, Shay, April, Hashika, Brandon, Briana, Ira, Taja, David Jr., Benita, and Sonya. Also survived by 4 great nieces, 5 great nephews, and a host of family and friends.
