Bettie D. Swartwood

Bettie D. Swartwood, 81, passed away on April 12, 2018 at home. She was born on July 11, 1936 to the late Robert and Lily (Ortloff) Dean. She was the loving wife of Norman Swartwood for over 60 years.

She loved spending time with her family, especially watching them at their sporting events. Not only was her family very important to her, but her church family at Eastside Assembly of God was as well.

Bettie was preceded in death by her parents, and three siblings, Sanford Dean, Bobby Dean and Maggie Wells.

She is survived by her husband of Bentonville; son, Kevin Swartwood of Bentonville; daughter, Cheryl Whatley and husband, Chad of Pea Ridge; brother, Paul Dean and wife, Barbara of Oregon; and 3 grandchildren, Alli, Sara and Brandon Whatley.

Her visitation will be on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 from 5-7pm in Callison-Lough Funeral Home Chapel, Bentonville. A funeral will be on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 11am in Eastside Assembly of God in Bentonville, burial to follow at Bentonville City Cemetery.
