Ronald "Ron" Thomas Patterson

He is preceded in death by his father, James Lee Patterson; mother, Elizabeth (Lib) Patterson; sister, Jeanette Elizabeth Patterson; and brother, James Lee Patterson Jr.

He is survived by wife, Catherine “Kitty” Kinane Patterson; daughter, Kaitlyn Patterson; and son, Jack Patterson. Also, brothers Don Patterson of Wilmington, NC and Charles Edwin Patterson Murphy, NC.

He was born on December 20, 1959 in Hickory, North Carolina. After growing up in Statesville, NC, Ron graduated from North Carolina State University in Raleigh with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management & Economics. He married Kitty Kinane in 1988 and they had 35 years together as of April. Ron and his family moved around in the beginning to Columbia, Maryland, Cleveland, OH, Charlotte, NC, Boston, MA, Columbus, OH, St Louis, MO and then settled in Bentonville AR. They have lived in Arkansas for the last 18 years.

Ron was very passionate about raising a family and his job at Dawn Foods. His hobbies included yard work and gardening, boating, and biking. On the weekends in the summer you could find him out on Beaver Lake. He was a great family man who always showed up at Kaitlyn’s and Jack’s activities and when entering a Patterson gathering would proclaim “Let the games begin”.

A visitation will be held at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel on May 19th from 4:00-5:00pm, with service immediately to follow at 5:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to UAMS Cancer Research or the Circle of Life Hospice, Bentonville, AR.
