Russell Benjamin Odell, 89, passed away on August 1, 2023. He was born in Orange, New Jersey on June 29, 1934 to the late Edward and Edna Tichenor Odell. Russell was a member of Cross Church in Rogers for almost 30 years.
He graduated from Northeast Bible College in NJ, Bob Jones in SC, and received a Master’s in Education from the New York University. Russ spent over 40 years in the Christian Bookseller’s Industry. He worked in the Marketing Department at DaySpring Cards and retired in 2001. He enjoyed travelling, spending time with family, gardening and reading about historical events.
Russ was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Odell; daughter, Debbie Kiphen.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years Carol (Nielsen); sons, Dan Odell, Dean Odell; daughter, Dawn Clinton; 9 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 10am at Cross Church Chapel, Rogers. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Cross Church.
