

Thomas McAllister (Tom) Edmiston of Huntsville, Arkansas passed away suddenly at his home Thursday, December 2, 2021. He was born April 27, 1952 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas to C. Tom Edmiston and Mary Flo McAllister Edmiston. Tom was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Lisa of the home, one son, Jason Edmiston and wife Elaine of Las Vegas, Nevada, two grandchildren, Stella and Nora Edmiston of Las Vegas, one daughter, Patty Edmiston Lutz and husband Jeff Lutz of Seattle, Washington, one sister JoAnna Crabtree and husband David Crabtree of Overland Park, Kansas, several nieces, nephews, great- nieces, great-nephews, three brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law and many, many friends. Tom was a graduate of Decatur High School and received a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management and a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Arkansas. Tom enjoyed traveling all his life. He was especially proud that he and Lisa hosted five international exchange students. After retirement, Tom enjoyed woodworking and furniture building. He became a member of Northwest Arkansas Master Naturalists and shared his love of our natural world by working with the Native Plant group. He volunteered at Hobbs State Park, Devil’s Den State Park, and at the Ozark Natural Science Center. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 Tuesday, December 7th at Falling Springs Cemetery west of Decatur, the Reverend Carl Mason officiating. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ozark Natural Science Center.
