Virginia “Ginny” Rosenbaum, 77, of Centerton, Arkansas, passed away on February 24, 2026. She was born on October 25, 1948, to Earl and Mary Singer and grew up in the Detroit suburb of Redford Township.
Ginny developed a love of cooking at a young age, a passion that remained with her throughout her life.
She found her professional calling at WXYZ-TV in Detroit, where she worked for 18 years in various roles within the Accounting Department. She loved both her work and the many friendships she formed there. In 1982, she married Tom Rosenbaum, the station’s News Director. Seven years later, they began a series of moves that took them to Los Angeles, New Orleans, Mobile, Bakersfield, and Raleigh. Along the way, Ginny lovingly cared for six dogs, including four golden retrievers.
In 1999, Ginny and Tom made Iowa their home base while traveling extensively across the country in their motor home. After relocating to Centerton, Arkansas, in 2014, they continued exploring together.
Ginny loved seeing the country and, with Tom, visited 45 states. Wherever they traveled, she delighted in walking their dogs in memorable places such as Presque Isle Park in Erie, Pennsylvania; along the Columbia River in Portland, Oregon; and at Brazos River Park in Waco, Texas.
She also enjoyed classic films in old-time theaters, challenging jigsaw puzzles, and reading. Above all, Ginny treasured the friendships she made throughout her life. She was a devoted wife and a loving stepmother to her stepson, David.
Virginia is survived by her husband, Tom Rosenbaum of Centerton, Arkansas; her stepson, David Rosenbaum of Columbia, Missouri; her sister, Pat Quinton of Baltimore, Maryland; her nieces, Rami Quinton of Baltimore, Maryland, and Kari Humes of Manhattan, Kansas. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Callie.
She was preceded in death by her father, Earl H. Singer, and her mother, Mary Jean Moffitt Singer.
