Anna Marie J. Romano

Anna Marie Romano (Pritel), 80, of Bethany, OK went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 22, 2015 surrounded by her loving family after an 18 year battle with breast cancer. Anna Marie also known as Nancy was born on June 13, 1935 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was the only child of Louis Pritel and Julia Haniszko. In 1970 the family moved to Bethany, Oklahoma. Nancy was a homemaker all of her life and loved her husband Vincent, and all of her six children dearly. Nancy was a wonderful wife and all of her children cherished her. Her family enjoyed her cooking and baking, and always looked forward to Sunday dinners. Nancy enjoyed gardening, reading, both watching ice skating and ice skating herself, was an accomplished pianist, enjoyed doing cross stitch, and caring for her family. Growing up the children looked forward to getting home after school because mom would usually have a special treat that she baked for us. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Julia Pritel, her brother-in-law Matthew Romano and his wife Loretta Romano. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Vincent, her children; Vincent Romano, Joseph Romano, (Christi), Joanne Travis (Charles), Matthew Romano (Lori), Steven Romano (Tammye) and Paul Romano. Nancy is survived by 11 grandchildren, Christina Charness, Ashley Romano, Jennifer Moran (Coby), Dane Romano, Ryan Romano, Joshua Romano (Christen), Rachel Romano, Jonathan Romano, Daniel Romano, Marissa Charness, Elizabeth Romano, and Lacie Lykins. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren, Matthew Charness, Ella Joy Romano, Addison Romano, Gabrielle Romano and Elijah Romano. Nancy is also survived by her brother-in-law James and his wife April. The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful staff and Caregivers at Home Care Plus as well as the staff at Humanity Hospice, especially Amy Dyer. Also, a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Craig Reitz and his nurse Angie for their loving care of mom over the past 18 years, as well as Dr. Jeffrey Sabine and Jaci.
