Bill leaves behind his wife of 59 and a half years, Sherri and his son, Chris. His is also survived by Chris's wife Tammy and their two children, Alyssa and Alex; his sister Alice Petzold and her husband Jerry, and their daughter Mitz Habben who has two children, Del and Tessica with her husband David; his niece Terri Strong and her son Jimmy Strong; nephew Mike Sharp and his son Jackson Sharp; as well as his beloved great grandchildren (the dogs) Tuffin and Mushu.
Visitation with Bill's family will be 4pm-6pm Friday, January 12, 2024 at Bill Merritt Funeral Service.
Viewing will continue on Saturday from 8am-5pm.
Private family services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Bill's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
