Ed James Clark “Chief”, 100, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his grandson Jason Clark and niece Bonni Genzer in Piedmont, OK on Tuesday, March 1, 2022. He was born August 2, 1921 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Creed William and Josephine Knowlin Clark. Ed married Bonnie Mae Wilson on January 28, 1944 in Cooke County, Texas. He graduated high school and went on to obtain three bachelor degrees, many awards and achievements. He served in the US Navy during World War II. After the Navy he started a career at the OKCPD and retired as chief of police from Nichols Hills in 1976; while also working for the FBI. Ed is survived by his grandson and wife, Jason and Chey Clark, great grandson, Jason Clark and great granddaughter, Trinity Benson, sisters in law, Edna Shaw, Dotty Hollis, Patsy Robertson and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Bonnie and son Jimmy Lynn as well and his siblings, Carrie Clark, Eldridge Clark, Delmer Clark, Howard Clark, Goldie Clark, and Matilda Clark.
