Gene Dan Sawyer 82, passed away December 2, 2010 in OKC. He was born in McCurtain, OK on November 21, 1928. Gene married Lorena on December 1, 1961 He worked and retired as a truck driver for OG&E and he was a member of Portland Avenue Baptist Church. Gene is survived by his sister, Winifred Donahue, 3 children Rodney, Gail, and Robert, 13 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife and 10 siblings. A funeral service will be held 10AM Monday, December 6, 2010 at Bill Merritt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Old Panther Cemetery in McCurtain, OK. at 3:00PM. Viewing will be Sunday at Bill Merritt from 1-3PM.
