Geneva Marie Maxwell, age 77, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2017 in Warr Acres, Oklahoma. Geneva was born to Garland Ray and Ethel Mae (Turner) Tharp on July 21, 1939. On May 3, 1957, Geneva married Jerell Maxwell, started their family, and remained in Oklahoma all their life. Geneva, attended Northwest Freewill Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. She enjoyed puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and still found coloring in her coloring books to be good for the soul. Geneva’s family was important to her, and loved spending time with them when she was able.
Geneva is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Ethel, and husband Jerell. She is survived by her two daughters, Lorraine Maxwell, and Gerrell Dean Gaylor, three grandsons, Michael Wetterlund and wife Anna, Christopher Wetterlund and wife Amy, and Nicholas Wetterlund. Geneva is survived by one great granddaughter, Nevaeh, and one brother, Ray Tharp.
