Georgia was a student of the Word and a great Bible teacher. She ministered to many people over the years through her teaching, bold witness, and desire to help others. During her lifetime she had many unique jobs which included driving an Army ambulance during WW II, Procurement Assistant to a College president, as well as several other occupations, before finally owning her own business. As a true Renaissance woman, she had many interests and talents. She taught herself to play the piano and wrote several Christian songs. She loved art so she taught herself to oil paint. Many of her paintings grace homes and offices in Oklahoma City. She was an excellent cook and loved learning to cook different ethnic foods.
Decorating her home was an art form for her which was reflected in the unique eclectic décor in her home which was admired by many. She believed that laughter was medicine to the soul so her deep sense of humor served her well as she loved laughing during a funny movie, always enjoyed a humorous story and amusing jokes. Growing up during the Great Depression, her family of eight moved around the country in search of employment. She had many stories of her childhood memories during those years of family hardship and struggle. Despite the struggles in her life, she was an overcomer. Her faith sustained her, and she always gave the credit to God for her life and blessings.
Georgia was a unique and vivacious lady. She left an indelible impression on everyone. All who knew her and met her were impressed with her intellect, knowledge of the Bible and her wit.
A great light has gone out of our lives, and she will be forever remembered by her family and friends and will always be held dear in our hearts.
Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die.” John11:25-26
