

Gregory E. Wolf Sr., a proud Army MP veteran, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, February 2, 2025. He was born on November 7, 1943, and raised in Long Branch, New Jersey, where he graduated from Long Branch High School.
Greg was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; his aunt Mary, his parents, Helen and Jack; and his brother, Gary. He is survived by his brothers, Glenn and Manny; his sons, Greg and Brian; his grandchildren, Grayson, Jeremiah, Caroline, Jack, and Nathan; as well as his sisters-in-law and daughters-in-law, Emma, Judy, Crystal, and Jana. He also leaves behind his niece Lana and nephews Dennis, Jack, and James. Greg was recently engaged to his sweetheart, Irene Castillo and looked forward to beginning a new chapter of life with her.
Greg’s service to his country was a cornerstone of his life. As a dedicated Army veteran, he served with honor in Germany, Vietnam, and at multiple stateside bases. His exemplary service earned him the Army Commendation Medal for meritorious service along with numerous other medals and awards. His unwavering commitment to duty and love for his country were evident to all who knew him.
Beyond his military career, Greg found fulfillment in faith and family. A devoted member of Maranatha Baptist Church, he embraced life’s simple joys. He was an avid fisherman who cherished time spent on or near the water. A lover of history, Greg enjoyed reading historical books and watching documentaries that deepened his understanding of the past. Music brought him solace—whether through the timeless beauty of classical compositions or the nostalgic melodies of golden oldies.
Greg will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of service, love for family, and passion for life will remain in the hearts of those he touched.
Funeral Services will be 10am Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Maranatha Baptist Church. Interment will be at 2pm at Ft. Sill National Cemetery.
