

Imogene McCurdy Lister was born on December 6, 1929 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Rufus McCurdy and Effie Alice McCurdy. She passed away on February 6, 2016 under the wonderful care of her loving daughter and staff in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the St. Anthony's Hospital.
She spent a great deal of time with her grandmother Joyce Tate and attended the Walden Schools, southwest of Tuttle. She attended Jackson Junior High and graduated from Central High School in Oklahoma City in 1947. Following her business education at Draughn’s School of Business, she later attained her nursing home administrator license from Oklahoma University and worked most of her life as a nursing home administrator. Imogene was a “high-volume shopper” specializing in beautiful clothes and matching shoes.
Her granddaughter Amy would say, "Here comes Gran Gene with another sack”. Her grand and great grandchildren took priority in everything she did, everyone else was "put on the back burner"
Imogene was preceded in death by her parents Rufus McCurdy and Effie Alice McCurdy Menn, Stepfather Ervin Menn, husbands Bob Lister whom she married on September 13th, 1949 and Bob Trendley whom she married on December 31st, 1987, sisters Colleen McCurdy, Ervalene Menn Walcott and granddaughter Mindy Laine Denton. .
Imogene is survived by her daughter Jamie Elizabeth Denton, granddaughter Amy Elizabeth Denton Swarnes, great grandchildren Jackson Forrest Swarnes and Kylie Swarnes, sister Janese Fair and her husband Roland Fair, and brother-in-law Gary Walcott Sr., many cousins and loving nieces and nephews in the Oklahoma City and Texas area.

Interment for the family will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle, Oklahoma.
Imogene grew up in the Oklahoma City and Tuttle area.
