Irene Altizer

Bonnie Irene Altizer formerly of Oklahoma City passed away August 4, 2023 in Konawa, OK at the age of 94. Irene was born September 26, 1928 to Hurley William and Fern Armstrong Jones. Irene loved beautiful sunrises, sunsets, flowers and her grandchildren’s big smiles when they would come to visit. Irene was a positive person with a strong work ethic and knew the importance of common sense. She was a dental assistant and member of the Oklahoma Dental Association and Tulakes Baptist church. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 45 years, Ralph in 1990, two sisters and one brother. She is survived by her son, Jerry Gene Altizer and wife, Beverly Ann of Konawa, her daughter, Glenda Rene’ McCartney and husband, Stanley Michael of Bolivia, North Caroline, brother, William(Bill) Jones of Antioch, CA, 4 grandchildren, Keri Genine Altizer, Kasha Rae Edwards, Aleshia Ann Lofton and Michael Gene McCartney, 4 great grandchildren, Skylar Jones, Colton Jones, Hartlee Edwards and Aaron McCartney as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

A graveside service for Irene will be held Tuesday, August 8, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery, 7801 NW Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK 73132.
