Jerry attended Central High School in Oklahoma City before beginning his career working alongside his father in the plumbing trade. In 1951, he proudly answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Air Force. During his service, Jerry was stationed on Johnston Island and served with the 797th Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron. While in the Air Force, he transitioned from plumbing to the electrical trade, developing skills that would shape the rest of his professional life. He was honorably discharged in 1955.
Following his military service, Jerry continued working as an electrician. In 1964, with determination, hard work, and the support of his family, he started his own electrical company from his home. The business quickly became a true family endeavor. His wife managed the books, while their children helped answer phones and assist wherever needed. It was said that Jerry spent many hours with the electrical board modifying the journeyman test for candidates wanting their licenses. Through dedication and integrity, Jerry built a successful business and a lasting legacy for his family.
Jerry was a proud 32nd Degree Mason and for 67 years a member of Oklahoma City Lodge No. 36. He enjoyed the outdoors and especially loved fishing and hunting. For many years, he cherished spending time with family and friends at his place on Lake Tenkiller, creating memories that will be treasured for generations.
